Working with New Zealand teams

A real-time accessibility partner across the Tasman

ExceedAbility is an Australian digital accessibility delivery partner just two hours behind New Zealand. We share your business day, so audits, remediation and validation to WCAG 2.2 AA happen in real time, aligned to the New Zealand Government Web Accessibility Standard.

Same business day, real-time collaboration

Sydney is only two hours behind New Zealand, so our working days overlap almost completely. There is no waiting overnight for a reply and no awkward call times. You get a senior accessibility team you can reach during your own business hours, working at your pace across the Tasman.

Shared working hours

Meetings, walkthroughs and reviews happen during your day, not at the edges of it. Collaboration stays live and responsive.

Same-day turnaround

Questions answered and findings discussed within the same working day, so accessibility keeps pace with your delivery.

A trans-Tasman partner

A nearby, English-speaking specialist team that understands both the New Zealand and Australian context, without a distant time zone.

What we do

Independent, evidence-based accessibility delivery for government, enterprise and software teams.

WCAG 2.2 audits

Automated, manual and assistive-technology testing with severity-ranked findings mapped to specific success criteria.

Conformance reporting

Accessibility statements and conformance reports against WCAG 2.2 and the NZ Government Web Accessibility Standard for public sector and procurement.

Remediation

Hands-on fixes to your front end, components and documents, validated with real screen readers, keyboard and voice.

Document accessibility

PDF, Word and PowerPoint remediated to WCAG 2.2 AA and PDF/UA, including high-volume batches.

Training

Practical training for designers, developers, content teams and leadership, tailored to your stack.

Embedded specialists

Accessibility expertise embedded in your product teams to sustain conformance across releases.

The New Zealand standards we work to

We help you evidence conformance against the frameworks your public sector buyers, regulators and legal teams reference.

NZ Government Web Accessibility Standard

Public service and non-public service departments must meet the Web Accessibility Standard, which requires conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We deliver the testing, remediation and evidence the standard requires.

NZ Government Web Usability Standard

Alongside accessibility, government websites must meet usability requirements covering content, navigation and contact information. We assess against both standards together.

Human Rights Act 1993 and the NZ Disability Strategy

Disability discrimination is unlawful, and the Disability Strategy and accessibility framework set the direction for inclusive services. Accessible digital experiences are central to meeting these expectations.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA

We test and remediate to the current WCAG 2.2 AA, which builds on the 2.1 AA referenced by the standard, so your evidence is current and stands up to scrutiny rather than passing an automated scan.

Why teams in New Zealand work with us

In your time zone

A near-identical business day means real-time collaboration, not overnight handoffs.

Independent evidence

Conformance reports produced by a party with no interest in passing carry weight in procurement and legal review.

Tested with real assistive technology

Screen readers, keyboard and voice, not automated tools alone. Most WCAG failures only surface through expert manual testing.

Delivery, not just advice

We remediate and validate, so issues are resolved and evidenced, not just listed in a report.

Let us work alongside your team

Tell us what you are building and where accessibility stands. We will map the fastest credible path to WCAG 2.2 AA and the New Zealand Government Web Accessibility Standard, working with you in real time.
